The Vietnam War was a conflict that occurred in Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia from 1 November 1955 to the fall of Saigon on 30 April 1975. It was the second Indochina War fought between North Vietnam and the government of South Vietnam.  Indochina wars refer to the conflicts which took place in Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia, with the principal involvement of France(1946-54) and later the United States beginning in the 1950s during the 20th century. The wars are also called the French Indochina War and the Vietnam War, or the 1st and 2nd Indochina Wars. The latter conflict ended in April 1975. In the latter half of the 19th century, Vietnam was conquered by the French, who controlled it as a protectorate(1883-1939) and then a possession(1939-45).   Cuba is an island located in the north Caribbean Sea, the Gulf of Mexico.  In the 1950s Cuba was under the control of the Corrupt, American-backed Dictator Batista who is generally a puppet government established by the USA.   American foreign policies of Economic Imperialism In the Cold War era were generally to establish a dummy government in the name of democracy and allow American private organizations to plant their factories. Low-wage workers and the free market are also a plus point and indeed the perspective of imperialists that motivates them to colonize another nation.  During the Cold War era, A communist rebellion emerged in Cuba that seized power over the dictatorship. Fidel Castro was in charge of the Communist red army which fought against the Cuban Government.
